Grassroots policy

I got an interesting phone call on our voice mail today from a voter, who’s name and contact number was missed. The voter saw the ad we had in the Barrie Advance. The items listed in the ad are priorities, not policies.

The beauty of the Green Party, is that policy is decided by the membership. Members can submit policy resolutions to the membership every two years at the Biennial General Meeting. The next meeting is this fall in Nova Scotia. All that is required is a good thought, and some members to back it up.

And as far as tax shifting, that has long been a Green Party policy. We’re glad the Liberals decided to borrow it from us. 🙂

Happy voting!
